Langford to fight for Commonwealth Super-Middleweight and WBO International Championships

Tommy Langford has been given a double title shot and is set to face unbeaten New Malden Super Middleweight Lerrone Richards for the vacant Commonwealth Super-Middleweight Championship and WBO International Championship on April 27 at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

Langford, the former British and Commonwealth Middleweight Champion, made a winning start to life as a Super Middleweight when he defeated Baptiste Castegnaro at Walsall Town Hall, headlining BCB Promotions’ ‘Pride of the Midlands’ edition last March 9th.

After a gritty performance referee Kevin Parker scored the six round contest 58-56 in Langford’s favour, a result which paved the way for ‘The Baggies Bomber’s title shot which was announced just six days later.

Also appearing on the exciting bill which will be televised by BT Sport are Daniel Dubois , Jack Catterall and Zak Chelli – some great fighters in some massively intriguing bouts, but according to many fight fans the Langford vs Richards contest has every chance of stealing the show.
